About Us


Green Kids Resale opened in April of 2011 to fill the void left by the closing of another kids resale store in Round Lake Beach, IL.  We opened in the same space and operate under the same basic structure of buying used items outright for cash (in the form of a check) or store credit. 

Our goal is to have a positive impact on local families and the community.  We will strive to do that in several ways.

Convert Resources to Cash
Provide a convenient option for families to turn outgrown or unused kids’ items into cash.

Affordable Items
Meet the needs of babies and growing kids at a fraction of the price of new items.

Support Local Schools and Organizations
A percentage of every purchase you make at Green Kids Resale will be donated to your local school district.  Sellers will also have the option of having Green Kids donate the cash offer for their items to their local school or other organization.  The school or group will be informed that the donation is being made on behalf of the seller.

Tread Lightly
Sharing resources is a great way to help care for our planet – reduce, reuse, recyle!
